General information
The Mayermoover metal collection tank for 1000-liter IBCs, available in a hot-dip galvanized version, is the ideal choice for outdoor applications or those exposed to corrosive agents. This finishing treatment protects the structure from rust, oxidation, and wear, making the product particularly suitable for exposed environments or those requiring little maintenance over time .
Each tank is designed to contain accidental spills of hazardous liquids, offering safety, robustness and compliance with European environmental regulations.
Extended protection and reliability over time
The structure is made of 3 mm (30/10) thick carbon steel and hot-dip galvanized for a uniform and durable coating. The hot-dip galvanized and pressed grating supplied is suitable for supporting the load of a 1000-litre IBC container even under harsh operating conditions.
Each unit is manufactured in compliance with UNI standards , using only traceable materials certified according to the UNI EN ISO 9001 standard.

Storage and Retention Guide
What does the law say?
According to Legislative Decree 19/05/1999 n. 152 , amended by Legislative Decree 2000 n. 258 , containment basins must have a minimum capacity at least equal to the largest of the stored containers and in any case not less than 1/3 of the total volume of the hazardous substances present. In areas subject to groundwater protection, the legislation instead requires that the entire stored volume be contained within the collection tank ( 100% of the volume ).
⚠️ Attention:
This regulation does not apply to the storage of used oil , for which the law expressly requires a containment tank equal to 100% of the stored volume , regardless of other considerations.
To better clarify the practical application of these rules, we report below two examples with explanatory data:
| Parameter | Example 1 | Example 2 |
|---|---|---|
| Total substances stored | 1500 liters | 3600 liters |
| 1/3 of the total | 500 liters | 1200 liters |
| Larger container | 700 liters | 1000 liters |
| Minimum capacity required | 700 liters (being 700 > 500) |
1200 liters (being 1000 < 1200) |
