General information
This Mayermoover metal collection tank , designed to accommodate two 200-litre drums, is made with a carbon steel structure and RAL 6011 (reseda green) paint finish , ideal for environments where a discreet but effective colour distinction between storage locations is required.
The solution is designed to ensure maximum safety against accidental spills , contributing to environmental protection and compliance with current European regulations on workplace safety.
Reinforced structure and selected materials
Each tank is constructed from 3mm (30/10) thick S235JR quality carbon steel with electronically tested welds to ensure absolute watertightness. The included, pressed hot-dip galvanized grating is designed to withstand high loads and potentially corrosive environments.
Production is carried out according to UNI parameters , using raw materials certified by suppliers compliant with the UNI EN ISO 9001 standard. Material traceability is guaranteed and can be documented upon request.

Storage and Retention Guide
What does the law say?
According to Legislative Decree 19/05/1999 n. 152 , amended by Legislative Decree 2000 n. 258 , containment basins must have a minimum capacity at least equal to the largest of the stored containers and in any case not less than 1/3 of the total volume of the hazardous substances present. In areas subject to groundwater protection, the legislation instead requires that the entire stored volume be contained within the collection tank ( 100% of the volume ).
⚠️ Attention:
This regulation does not apply to the storage of used oil , for which the law expressly requires a containment tank equal to 100% of the stored volume , regardless of other considerations.
To better clarify the practical application of these rules, we report below two examples with explanatory data:
| Parameter | Example 1 | Example 2 |
|---|---|---|
| Total substances stored | 1500 liters | 3600 liters |
| 1/3 of the total | 500 liters | 1200 liters |
| Larger container | 700 liters | 1000 liters |
| Minimum capacity required | 700 liters (being 700 > 500) |
1200 liters (being 1000 < 1200) |
