Storage box for hazardous products type GD-E/IBC
The GD-E/IBC hazardous material storage box is designed for storing 1000-liter IBCs. With a galvanized steel construction and galvanized grille, it offers high safety for the containment of flammable liquids and substances hazardous to aquatic environments, approved by StawaR and the DIBt in Berlin.

What does the law say?
According to Legislative Decree 19/05/1999 n. 152 , amended by Legislative Decree 2000 n. 258 , containment basins must have a minimum capacity at least equal to the largest of the stored containers and in any case not less than 1/3 of the total volume of the hazardous substances present. In areas subject to groundwater protection, the legislation instead requires that the entire stored volume be contained within the collection tank ( 100% of the volume ).
⚠️ Attention:
This regulation does not apply to the storage of used oil , for which the law expressly requires a containment tank equal to 100% of the stored volume , regardless of other considerations.
To better clarify the practical application of these rules, we report below two examples with explanatory data:
