DPIWorkAir Back effectively protects the central area of the back , thanks to its shape with coverage focused on the back . Upon activation, the airbag expands to the neck and coccyx area.
It is dedicated to the protection of workers who operate at heights for which the use of fall arrest devices is not required and in all those cases in which the dynamics of the fall is mainly backwards . It is particularly suitable for those who carry out work up to 2 m .
The product can be reused after activation by using the WorkAir recovery service .
The activation algorithm
The brains of WorkAir are its sophisticated activation algorithms , which constantly analyze data from the inertial platform sensors embedded in the electronics to detect crash conditions and send the activation signal.
From the moment of recognizing the accident, it inflates the bag in 24 milliseconds .
Certified PPE
WorkAir is a highly innovative protective device, for which current regulations do not provide certification procedures suitable for such an advanced system. D-Air Lab turned to the Notified Body Dolomiti Cert which, in collaboration with the University of Padua , developed a certification specification specifically designed for WorkAir . The device successfully passed rigorous tests, obtaining certification.
The hardware
WorkAir hardware is designed for maximum reliability . It uses high- quality components supplied by renowned companies, ensuring the technical specifications essential for a PPE .
Power is provided by a lithium-ion battery with an autonomy of approximately 18 hours of continuous use , rechargeable via USB-C socket. An LED signals the system status to the user.
Usage scenarios
- Heights from 1.2m : WorkAir protects effectively and can be worn over clothing.
- Heights above 2m : Also protects against swinging against underlying structures and must be worn under the harness .
