How to choose the perfect industrial container: a practical case study for mixed material storage
When a purchasing department contacts us to define a supply, the main challenge is not simply to "sell a product," but to identify with surgical precision the technical solution that guarantees efficiency, safety, and durability over time. Let's analyze a typical request we receive daily on our platform and see how our technical team transformed it into a concrete solution. The client's request: specifications and constraints From a client's industrial sector, the following procurement need emerged: Quantity: containers for storing mixed non-hazardous materials and waste. Dimensions: Standard Europallet base (approx. 1200x800 mm), height 650/800 mm. Capacity: Approximately 400 kg per crate. Handling and logistics: Compatibility with pallet truck or forklift (with feet or skids) and stackability requirements. Material: Comparative evaluation between heavy-duty plastic (HDPE) and metal/steel sheet. Plastic vs. Metal: which to choose for 400 kg on a Europallet base? Faced with this dilemma, Mayermoover's technical analysis focuses on the actual use in the department: Heavy-duty plastic containers (HDPE): These are the ideal choice if you are looking for an excellent lightness-to-strength ratio, easy washing, and ergonomic handling. Our HDPE models with Europallet bases easily support the required 400 kg and offer excellent stackability. Metal/steel sheet containers: These represent the definitive solution if the working environment is particularly harsh (presence of sharp parts, frequent forklift impacts, or extreme mechanical stress). Steel guarantees superior longevity under intensive use conditions. The Mayermoover offer: speed and B2B transparency For the needs of a modern purchasing department, speed is everything. For this specific request, we have prepared a targeted proposal that includes: Identification of the most suitable catalog model (verifying capacity and compatibility with standard dimensions). Calculation of optimized shipping costs for the destination. Definition of guaranteed delivery times. Are you looking for a similar solution for your company?
