Applications
ST-ONE FIRESTOP is a low flammability modified single-component polyurethane foam that hardens on contact with air humidity.
It is used in the field of building construction to seal, assemble, fill, insulate and install electrical installations, crossings, fire doors, vaults, etc., especially in cases where low flammability is required. Adheres to most building materials such as wood, concrete, cellular concrete, bricks, bricks, metal, aluminium. It has poor adhesion to polyethylene, silicone and PTFE.
How to use
Surfaces must be clean, free from dust, grease and other impurities. Dry, porous surfaces should be moistened with water. The optimum temperature for the cylinder is between 20°C and 25°C. If the temperature is lower, immerse the cylinder in hot water (max 40°C) for about 20 minutes. Before use, shake the can vigorously (about 20 times) with the valve facing downwards. Remove the protective cap and screw on the adapter. Hold the bottle upside down and activate the foam by pressing the valve. Fill the openings only partially with foam, because the foam expands to 2-3 times its original volume. If you are filling an opening larger than 5cm, work in layers. Apply the second coat once the first has dried. You can speed up the curing process by spraying the foam with water. Once the foam has hardened, cut off the excess with a sharp knife and proceed with finishing by plastering, applying roofing, painting, etc. If you are not using the entire bottle, clean the valve with PU FOAM CLEANER. Hardened foam can be removed with REMOVE ALL or mechanically. Cured foam must be protected from UV rays.
