General information
The Mayermoover spill tray for two 1000-liter IBC containers is a robust and professional solution, designed to prevent accidental spills of hazardous or polluting substances. The RAL 5010 (gentian blue) painted version combines structural protection and color recognition , making it ideal for industrial environments where visual safety is an added value.
This tub is designed to meet the requirements of European regulations on environmental safety and worker protection .
High capacity and reliable construction
Made from 3 mm (30/10) thick S235JR quality carbon steel , the tank is designed to withstand long-term use in demanding work environments. The welds are electronically controlled to ensure a complete watertight seal . The hot-dip galvanized and pressed grating guarantees a safe load capacity for the simultaneous loading of two 1000-litre IBCs, while maintaining high chemical and mechanical resistance.
All materials are purchased from historic suppliers certified according to UNI EN ISO 9001 , with full traceability available upon request.

Storage and Retention Guide
What does the law say?
According to Legislative Decree 19/05/1999 n. 152 , amended by Legislative Decree 2000 n. 258 , containment basins must have a minimum capacity at least equal to the largest of the stored containers and in any case not less than 1/3 of the total volume of the hazardous substances present. In areas subject to groundwater protection, the legislation instead requires that the entire stored volume be contained within the collection tank ( 100% of the volume ).
⚠️ Attention:
This regulation does not apply to the storage of used oil , for which the law expressly requires a containment tank equal to 100% of the stored volume , regardless of other considerations.
To better clarify the practical application of these rules, we report below two examples with explanatory data:
| Parameter | Example 1 | Example 2 |
|---|---|---|
| Total substances stored | 1500 liters | 3600 liters |
| 1/3 of the total | 500 liters | 1200 liters |
| Larger container | 700 liters | 1000 liters |
| Minimum capacity required | 700 liters (being 700 > 500) |
1200 liters (being 1000 < 1200) |
