Storage Tank Type 2018 / 2019
The 2018/2019 type storage tank is designed for the safe storage of 200-liter drums, but can also be used to combine 200-liter drums with smaller containers such as 60-liter drums and jerry cans. It is made of 3 mm steel sheet and galvanized grid, compliant with StawaR regulations and approved for flammable liquids and substances hazardous to the aquatic environment.

What does the law say?
According to Legislative Decree 19/05/1999 n. 152 , amended by Legislative Decree 2000 n. 258 , containment basins must have a minimum capacity at least equal to the largest of the stored containers and in any case not less than 1/3 of the total volume of the hazardous substances present. In areas subject to groundwater protection, the legislation instead requires that the entire stored volume be contained within the collection tank ( 100% of the volume ).
⚠️ Attention:
This regulation does not apply to the storage of used oil , for which the law expressly requires a containment tank equal to 100% of the stored volume , regardless of other considerations.
