The AW 60-3/M storage tank is designed for the safe storage of 60-liter drums or smaller containers. Made of 3 mm steel sheet and galvanized grille, it complies with StawaR regulations and is approved for flammable liquids and substances hazardous to the aquatic environment.

What does the law say?
According to Legislative Decree 19/05/1999 n. 152 , amended by Legislative Decree 2000 n. 258 , containment basins must have a minimum capacity at least equal to the largest of the stored containers and in any case not less than 1/3 of the total volume of the hazardous substances present. In areas subject to groundwater protection, the legislation instead requires that the entire stored volume be contained within the collection tank ( 100% of the volume ).
⚠️ Attention:
This regulation does not apply to the storage of used oil , for which the law expressly requires a containment tank equal to 100% of the stored volume , regardless of other considerations.
To better clarify the practical application of these rules, we report below two examples with explanatory data:
