SEAL5 HT® is a professional high temperature clear silicone sealant , designed for applications requiring extreme thermal resistance and mechanical stability .
It guarantees reliable performance from –60 °C to +330 °C , with peaks up to 400 °C for 30 minutes , maintaining flexibility, transparency and perfect adhesion .
Its neutral and non-corrosive acetic formula ensures compatibility with most metals, glass, ceramics and rigid plastics , without causing oxidation.
Odorless, resistant to UV rays, water and chemicals , it can be painted with the most common water- or oil-based paints.
It is ideal for industrial and civil applications where high thermal performance is required, such as engines, heating systems, boilers, heat exchangers, ovens and chimneys .
How to Use
Preparation:
-
Thoroughly clean the surface from dust, grease and old sealants with SOLVIX .
-
Make sure surfaces are dry and stable .
-
Perform a preliminary test to check compatibility with materials and temperatures.
Application:
-
Cut the cartridge and nozzle to the desired size.
-
Apply with GUN7 sealant gun or similar.
-
Fill the joint up to 30 mm thick, levelling with a spatula if necessary.
-
Allow to cure 4 mm every 24 hours at room temperature.
-
Remove any fresh residues with SOLVIX .
-
Clean hands with PIC WIPES after application.
Ideal conditions:
Application temperature between +5°C and +40°C .
Applications
SEAL5 HT® is suitable for sealing and bonding subjected to high temperatures in the industrial, mechanical and construction sectors:
-
Heating and combustion systems: fireplaces, flues, boilers, heat exchangers, steam pipes.
-
Automotive and mechanical: engine heads, fuel pumps, water pumps, flanges, radiators, valves and gaskets.
-
Building and construction: wall-to-ceiling or wall-to-floor joints, metal panels, steel and wood frames.
-
Electrical and industrial: junction boxes, submersible pumps, heat-resistant or electrically insulated systems.
Thanks to the fire resistance tested to EN 1366-4 (up to 240 min) , it is also ideal for safety and fire insulation applications.
