The capacity, diameter and height of the area to be heated must be checked. For example, the standard jacket for 50-litre cylinders is designed for diameters of 220–270 mm, while the 10-litre version covers diameters of 130–171 mm. Compatibility with the gas and the cylinder’s permitted temperature must then be checked: two containers with the same capacity can have different geometries.

The 500 W silicone model uses a fixed 40 °C limiter and a 55 °C safety device with manual reset; it does not offer the 0–40 °C digital adjustment of the standard jackets. Heating the cylinder promotes LPG vaporisation, but the achievable flow rate also depends on ambient conditions, remaining contents and the characteristics of the gas delivery system.

No. Being intended for LPG does not amount to certification for potentially explosive atmospheres. In a classified area, a heater with suitable marking and a control configuration compliant with its documentation are required. The ATEX cylinder heaters in the range require a compatible external controller-limiter, which is not included with the heater.
