Description
The 24-4667 gas cylinder heating jacket is designed to heat 79-liter cylinders, helping to prevent frost formation and maintain a steady gas supply in industrial and laboratory processes.
When drawing liquefied gas from pressurized cylinders, the gradual drop in liquid level can cause the cylinder temperature to fall, leading to frost formation. This can impair gas flow and disrupt the continuity of the process. The heating jacket helps prevent this problem and is particularly useful in applications involving calibration gases, where a stable supply is important for ensuring the repeatability of operations.
The jacket is made of silicone-coated fabric, with glass fiber insulation and a Teflon heating element. The adjustable quick-release buckles make it easy to secure the jacket to the cylinder and remove it when necessary.
Heating is controlled by an adjustable digital thermostat set from 0 to 40 °C, with an additional safety thermostat. The device operates on a 230 V power supply and has an output of 411 W.
