Storage Tank Type WM-2/200
The WM-2/200 storage tank is designed for 200-liter drums, but can also accommodate 60-liter drums or smaller containers. Constructed of 3 mm steel sheet, with a galvanized grid and a load capacity of 1000 kg/m², it is approved for use with flammable liquids and hazardous substances.

What does the law say?
According to Legislative Decree 19/05/1999 n. 152 , amended by Legislative Decree 2000 n. 258 , containment basins must have a minimum capacity at least equal to the largest of the stored containers and in any case not less than 1/3 of the total volume of the hazardous substances present. In areas subject to groundwater protection, the legislation instead requires that the entire stored volume be contained within the collection tank ( 100% of the volume ).
⚠️ Attention:
This regulation does not apply to the storage of used oil , for which the law expressly requires a containment tank equal to 100% of the stored volume , regardless of other considerations.
To better clarify the practical application of these rules, we report below two examples with explanatory data:
