Description
The ATEX temperature controller 23-4258 is a device designed for temperature control and limitation in potentially explosive environments containing combustible gases or dusts. It also includes a power selection function, providing a control solution for ATEX heating systems.
It is compatible with ATEX heating products and can be installed both inside and outside hazardous areas, in compliance with the installation conditions and explosion protection documentation.
The device uses a PT100 sensor with an intrinsically safe measuring circuit (Ex-i), connectable with 2 or 3 wires. The 7-segment LED display shows the measured temperature, while the system indicates any sensor open-circuit or short-circuit faults.
The controller also features a built-in temperature switch, which switches off at around 90 °C, and a relay output for alarm indication. The aluminum enclosure with an IP64 protection rating is designed for mounting on a base plate.
