Description
The immersion heater for IBC containers by Kuhlmann Electro-Heat is designed to heat liquids contained in tanks directly, helping to reduce their viscosity and facilitate handling and discharging.
The heating element is immersed directly in the liquid and transfers heat from inside the container. It is suitable for various types of products, including water, alkaline mixtures, mild acids, and oil-based substances, provided that the chemical compatibility of the materials and the maximum permitted product temperature are verified.
The tubular element is made of AISI 316L (1.4404) stainless steel, a material characterized by good corrosion resistance. The device includes a PT100 sensor and comes with an external DigiTherm digital temperature controller, which allows the temperature to be set and controlled within the range of 0 to 90 °C.
The heater has an IP65 protection rating, while the external temperature controller is rated IP54. During operation, the liquid level must be maintained at at least 500 mm to ensure the heating element is correctly immersed.
